Reflection #4

Today in one of my classes a Powerpoint presentation was used to give information for taking notes. I think this method is most effective because it allows students time to take notes while looking at the slides instead of trying to remember what the teacher said. This way there is no confusion about information and little risk of missing a point.

  1. I agree that Powerpoint is a very effective supplement to lectures. Also, if you upload the lecture notes to your website it's a great way for the students to catch up on any material they missed while absent or anything that they are still confused about.

  2. I also agree with you. I really appreciate the professors who upload their Powerpoint presentations to Discovery. I have taken several classes where I've had to spend hours reviewing the Powerpoint when studying for an exam; it's especially helpful when they record their lectures along with the Powerpoint.
